Bookkeeper

The Role

You will be a detail orientated person but have a flare for interacting with people. As a bookkeeper you will be responsible for supporting clients with their monthly compliance requirements and fielding adhoc queries from them.

Duties
  • Oversee other bookkeeper/s
  • Direct client bookkeeping such as reconciling, payroll, AP, AR (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Responsible for IAS, BAS, Payroll (STP), and other compliance lodgements for 50+ clients
  • Dealing with workflow, delegating work & providing guidance
  • Assisting accountants & processing client records
Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of MYOB, XERO and Quickbooks
  • Experience in a public practice firm environment
  • A personable and professional demeanor
  • The desire for a long-term role
  • Excellent attention to detail & good organisational/prioritisation skills
  • A genuine love of helping others and working in a team
  • The ability to take ownership of your role and work to KPI’s

Tax & Business Services Accountant

The Role

You will be a detail orientated person but have a flare for interacting with people. As a business and tax accountant you will be responsible for helping and providing advice to clients and supporting the business relationship the firm has with them.

Duties
  • Prepare financial statements and complete tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies
  • Research complex taxation issues
  • Review client files
  • Tax planning work (budgeting, forecasting reports, tax minimisation solutions etc.)
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders
  • Attend client meetings
  • Business advisory work (business plans, organisational structures, and growth plans etc.)
Skills & Experience
  • Business degree majoring in Accounting or Commerce
  • 1 – 5+ years business service/tax experience in an Australian based accounting firm
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid tax and accounting technical knowledge
